These days, referring to the same joke three times in one sitting seems overdone. The strategy of repetition is still mainstream, but repetition seems to occur only once per joke, now that a comedy series is supposed to be fresh and present a quick succession of jokes. Imagine hearing Karen's "penis" remark three times...repetition is not the best device for this progressive series, but it does make me reminisce about the sitcoms of my youth.
I would complain about the storyline involving Will's crazy boss being less interesting than average, but Gene Wilder was just so darned good at acting crazy that the plot was far from boring. Still, I'm not sure this episode deserved the extra few minutes of airtime....
