I'm not offended by references to this short man, except that someone thought the audience would think it was funny, and I am a member of the audience. It's hard for me to grasp why this type of joking is acceptable in this particular series but not in others, when neither option provides a decent explanation for the mockery in relation to certain social issues or practices. Maybe the need for an explanation is disguised by the fact that this series is open-minded in other ways. If a decent explanation had been provided, or if the character had been examined at all, this episode would have been more impressive. It would be interesting to see aftereffects of this plot's conclusion, but I will be surprised if this guy ever shows up in the series again.
