child's play

Of all the episodes of Everybody Loves Raymond I have ever seen, and also quite a few episodes of other sitcoms, this plot was the easiest to identify with. There are two major categories of people who find Everybody Loves Raymond funny: people who identify with Raymond, and people who take the opposing side, usually Debra's or Marie's. In the case of this episode, I cannot imagine anyone disagreeing with Ray. Anyone who has met several children knows how annoying some of them can be. Certain children can cause the most even-tempered people to fly off the handle in a way that no adult can. Sometimes it is hard to forgive children when they are insulting, selfish, or greedy, even though we are supposed to humor them because they don't know any better. Even though this episode was not the best, I'm just glad everyone ended up agreeing with Raymond.
