bring it
This show didn't make me cry, including laughing until I cry, but it was still a solid episode. It's hard to tell what the point of the series is exactly, but if it was just built on giving someone a sit-com who wanted one, then it does a good job of avoiding the traps many of those shows fall into. There are hardly any recurring characters, a conspicuous lack of children, and not even one catchy gimmick; therefore, the series is forced to rely completely on the talent of its writers and actors.
Even more than last week's episode, most of the plot of this episode was derived from the imaginations of the main characters. This time, they were convinced that praying was getting them whatever they wanted. Because God was not actually present in the episode, and due to the previously indicated lack of gimmicks, the show fell back on the writing and characters' performances. I believe it is the false pressure bringing out the characters' personalities that makes this show so endearing.
