"hey, you"

If you consider yourself to be young, it is probably not worth your while to watch this show. If you like the show despite your youngness, you are probably not as young as you think. The aforementioned generalization is not necessarily true, though, as I'm still in college and the program sure amuses me. It's fairly straightforward, but I pretty frequently find myself thinking about The King of Queens even when I follow it with other shows. Yeah, you say, but obviously it's just the primacy effect making me remember that show, right? Uh, well, I don't know. But this episode was memorable. I know, it involved that overused scene structure where two characters not involved in a romantic relationship engage in dialogue you might hear from a romantic couple. (Why is that funny, anyway?) But for some reason, hearing the main problem facetiously from a non-romantic couple made it easier for me to see both sides when it is applied seriously to a romantic couple. Go figure.

p.s. This episode reinforced my feeling that the words "hey, you" are intended to refer to one's romantic interest. Gosh, it was weird listening to my housemate say that to her guinea pig every morning.
